so right now i’m reading a book by laurie beth jones called “the path.” it’s about creating your own personal mission statement. yeah….i thought it sounded cheesy too UNTIL I READ IT. it has really opened my eyes. i’m still wordsmithing the phrase but i’m getting close to being finished. i’ll share it with you when i’m done. am i the only nerd who has ever done this?

No, you are not. The mission statement serves as a clarifier, so if the path ever becomes unclear, you can always go back to the mission statement to get back on track. It’s almost like a Constitution; it defines the purpose of your endeavors. It is a constant reminder not just of the things you want to achieve, but more about the manner in which you achieve them.

hey friend! i poke my head above water every now and then and just came across your blog. nice to ‘hear’ from you! =]
as you might have guessed, not only was ‘shout to the Lord’ omitted from the malaysian airing of a.i., but carly’s performance of Jesus Christ superstar was curiously edited so there was not one mention of The Name…
it may sound simple-minded, but at least it was aired. we’ve learned to live with profound censorship and propaganizing of anything that is not in firm keeping with the national religion here where we live. we have many freedoms that others in parts of the world will never know.
